Azure AD Connect Failed to read SyncMachineIdentifier registry key

Hi,

Azure AD Connect went GA a few days ago and I'm testing it out. I've exported my Dirsync setting and following the install process for Parallel deployment - more than 50K objects with full SQL installed. I enter all setting in the migration wizard and wen all set I click install. The install starts and runs for a bit then fails with a message of "The user name or password is incorrect". There is an option to view the log and the part that it is failing is below. The installer creates AD MA account, and I suppose set the password, in the local AD but the installer appears to not be able to find this registry key shown in the log. I've verify that the key exist and even went so far to grant the AD MA account full rights to the key. However the retry still fails. It's almost seems that the wizard created the account but doesn't know the password and there is no way to provide it a new password if I manully change it. Which I've tried also.

[18:41:43.519] [ 19] [INFO ] Creating AD MA account for Domain.local
[18:41:43.666] [ 19] [WARN ] Failed to read SyncMachineIdentifier registry key: An error occurred while executing the 'Get-ItemProperty' command. Property SyncMachineIdentifier does not exist at path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Azure AD Connect.
[18:41:44.771] [ 19] [INFO ] ConfigureSyncEngineStage.StartADSyncConfiguration: AADConnectResult.Status=Failed

Has anyone seen this and found out a solution to the error.

Thanks,

Richard
