Add User to Role using Office 365 portal producing incorrect entry in Azure AD logs

When adding an user to a directory role using Office 365 portal, the Azure AD logs reports the actual directory RoleTemplateId as the Target Role object Id. Is this expected ? Please refer to the attachment
