Hey guys,
I'm the administrator of a company with 4 different sites. All of them have about 20 employees working on site. Right now, we have 4 different Domain Controllers installed and I would like to outsource all of them completely into the Azure cloud and connect our firewalls by site-to-site connections to the cloud.
Does anyone have experiences with that? Is it actually possible? I know about the issues when the internet line drops out, but in this case people can still login and work with their normal software like laptops currently not connected to the domain.
The second question is, if we would get rid of all of our servers on site, do we still need CALs for the users to access servers in Azure. I'm asking, because we actually just have a domain controller and a fileserver, which could be replaced through a NAS once the DC is in the cloud. Our Exchange could be replaced by exchange online. If we don't need to buy server CALs we would save a lot of money in the future.
Thank you in advance.
