I just built a new AD domain controller and created a user, myself, Joe.Schmo@JoeSchmo.com. I installed Dirsync on a member server and ran the configuration wizard to sync my AD users with my Azure AD. Everything installs fine. I already have an account in Office 365/Azure AD with the same credentials. When I try to sync between my local AD and Azure I get this export error:
"Unable to update this
object because the following attributes associated with this object have values
that may already be associated with another object in your local directory
services: [UserPrincipalName Joe.Schmo@JoeSchmo.com;].
Correct or remove the duplicate values in your local directory. Please refer to
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2647098
for more information on identifying objects with duplicate attribute values."
What am I missing? Isn't the local AD supposed to update the attributes for the Azure/Office365 user that I have created in my AD?
The link to the KB article goes nowhere.
