Azure AD Graph API - User (Setting PasswordProfile) Encrypted password???

In the Graph API there is an option to set the password on the user using PasswordProfile.  I was wondering is it possible to encrypt the password before sending it out to the Azure using Graph API??  Example converting it to SecureString etc?
