Unable to start Microsoft AAD Sync Service

"Windows could not start the Microsoft Azure AD Sync on Local Computer. For more information review the system event log. if this is a non-microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code - 2145185792

This is happening every single time I try to start the service - there was a security patch done to Exchange last eveningKB3040856

I have verified permissions on the local reg key per the event logs HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AD Sync  and full permissions exist for the service account

And I have verified that local service account is under the ADSyncAdmins along with my own network account

Please help!
