Get-MsolDomainFederationSettings -DomainName internal exception

azure AD commandlet Get-MsolDomainFederationSettings -DomainName X throws local exception, for federated domain that actually works (against office 365 remote connectivity tool). Other domains in the same AAD tenant work, using the same tool/installation. Fails on a couple of machines.

any ideas?
