Hi all,
My organisation is about to jump ship to Office 365 and we are in the planning process just now. One aspect that the guys in house here are having a problem understanding is around the whole authentication process for our AD users.
We don't need single sign on just now but might be a good option to have in the future.
As I understand it we have three options
- DirSync on its own
- On premise ADFS
- Azure AD
DirSync isn't really enough for us, as I understand user would have to use the Microsoft username?joe.bloggs@test.onmicrosoft.com Please do correct me if I'm wrong.
On premise ADFS will do everything we want it to do but it does have its costs which we would like to not deal with, but know that this maybe our only choice.
Azure AD no one is too sure, will Azure AD give us ADFS in the cloud instead of on premise?
What functionality do you get over on premise ADFS and Azure AD?
Connection to Azure AD from two sites live and DR, is that possible?
Any help with this would be great fully received and if you need to know more then please do ask.
Cheers
C
Murphy
