What is a "username"...

Hi

I've just started to play around with Azure AD and I am slightly confused when it says username or corporate credentials in the text.

My Azure AD is called Acme. I have a user in my on-premise domain: testuser@onpremise.com. I've successfully synced all my users to Azure and in Azure AD I now see a new user calledtestuser@Acme.onmicrosoft.com

This was sort of what I was expecting, but then I'm reading here:

  • Password Sync: If you want to enable your users to log into Azure Active Directory and other servicesusing the same username and passwordas they use to log onto your corporate network and resources. Password Sync is a feature of the Directory Sync tool. For instructions on deploying Password Sync, see Implement Password Synchronization.

Is "username" in this context "testuser" or "testuser@onpremise.com?
