Provider-hosted Add-in with AzureAD application

Hello,

is it possible to use ApplicationId from Azure Active Directory Application for SharePoint provider-hosted Add-in (as a ClientId)? (I do not want to use an app created via AddRegNew page).

I am struggling with app deployment, the app deployment freeze and return "The operation took too long" error.

I do not understand the issue - I am able to use AppInv page and grant permission for Azure AD application but I am not able to create SharePoint Add-in for such an app?

UPDATE: It looks like it has a completely different service principle objects :(
