We have 2 Active directory servers for 2 separate domains, and one of the AD servers is currently syncing to our tenant account in O365. Is it possible to have them both sync to the same tenant account with existing O365 accounts already in place on the
tenant.
We came very close to achieving this last weekend, matching the users based on userprinciplename and proxyaddress but for some reason after we did an initial sync, we couldn't sign into the newly married O365 accounts. The error we would receive when signing in was as if the password was incorrect. We tried doing password resets from AD and syncing the changes. The sync ran fine, however the second AD domain users could not login through O365. I will mention that the existing connector for the first AD server remained functional, and those users were able to sign in. Only the users from the second connector in Azure AD Connect had issues signing in.
We ended up reverting back, but would like to understand how this happened, and if its possible to achieve syncing 2 on-prem AD servers to a single tenant in O365.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated
